Finishing a Painting of Christopher Reeve

I finished my Superman painting, and here he is. Christopher Reeve has such a great face for caricature, and this was a joy to put together.

Someone on Bluesky just paid me the very nice compliment of saying that it has the look of a frame from a 1970s movie, which is exactly what I was going for: that luminous quality that this 1978 classic has in spades.

I have put this original piece in my Teal Cartoons Etsy shop, so he’s now available, if you’re looking for a gift for yourself or someone else. Come and have a poke around in there. There are a few choice items, and a good range of prices.
